Red Bull F1 boss Christian Horner is under investigation after ‘allegations of inappropriate behaviour’ were made against him, according to reports.
His own team are looking into the claims, with the news dropping just under a month before the start of the 2024 Formula One season.
Dutch outlet, De Telegraaf report that ‘Horner is said to have been guilty of inappropriate behavior, in particular towards one particular team member of Red Bull Racing.’
In response, Horner has said: ‘I completely deny these claims.’
Red Bull have also released the following statement on the matter: ‘After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation.
This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister. The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible.
‘It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.’
Horner, husband of former Spice Geri Halliwell, has run Red Bull Racing since their inception in 2005, overseeing their transformation into one of the sport’s most successful teams.
They won four consecutive drivers’ and constructors’ titles between 2010 and 2013 with Sebastian Vettel, while their current star driver Max Verstappen has won the past three championships.
In 2023, they achieved the most dominant season F1’s long history, winning 21 of 22 races.
