A cannabis shop on Walking Street in Pattaya was reportedly openly selling nitrous oxide (laughing gas) balloons, in violation of the law. Despite regular police patrols in the area, the shop was discovered selling the balloons to both Thai and foreign tourists.
The shop even displayed a sign offering promotions for purchasing the gas balloons, along with a glass of beer. Nitrous oxide is commonly used as a sedative in medical and dental procedures and can induce a sense of euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of laughter.”
