A rescue mission has been launched after a yacht sunk off the island of Milos in Greece.
Seventeen passengers are on the vessel, with the Navy and Air Force racing to the scene to help the operation.
The boat had a British flag but all the passengers are thought to be Greek, local media reports.
A danger signal was sent from the 28-metre-long yacht this morning, although the full circumstances of the incident remain unknown.
Mayor of Milos, Manolis Mikelis, said: ‘We have information for 17 people, we are in the process of collecting people from the sea.
‘At the moment there is wind in the area and it is making a lot of waves, we were told about a yacht.
‘With every reservation, the boat has been overturned.’
Three Greek Navy vessels, a Navy helicopter and an Air Force helicopter are currently at the scene.
Two ships and a private boat are also assisting in the hunt.
It’s not known how many people have been rescued so far.
