Over 40 websites pretending to be the platforms where people can register for the government’s cash hand-out programme were found on the internet, Deputy commander General Nattaphon Narkphanit said at the Royal Thai Armed Forces headquarters today (March 31).
He also instructed all military units to inform citizens and troops on measures to help those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Civil servants and employees both inside and outside the social security system would be eligible to receive a Bt5,000 relief cash for three consecutive months, but they must register via website “เราไม่ทิ้งกัน.com” only,” he said.
“Recently, the Army found more than 40 fake websites set up to deceive people.”
He also ordered Army Region commanders and Deputy Director of the Internal Security Operations Command at the regional level to check on over-priced consumer products such as eggs, rices, vegetable oils, drinking waters
“Army chief General Apirat Kongsompong expressed appreciation to all troops for complying with Covid-19 preventive measures, while we must create awareness that the virus can be transmitted in two ways, from saliva and touching,” he added.
“We would have unit commanders checking out military housing units to ensure the availability of alcohol and face masks, while Territorial Defense Command and Directorate of Personnel must prepare measures for voluntary military service and extend the application period until April 24 this year”.
