Two passenger trains crashed in India’s Odisha state on Saturday, resulting in at least 233 fatalities and 900 injuries, making it the nation’s bloodiest rail tragedy in more than ten years.
According to the state’s chief secretary Pradeep Jena, the number of fatalities from the incident on Friday is anticipated to climb.
In addition to the 80 doctors already present, he said that over 200 ambulances had been dispatched to the accident site in the Balasore region of Odisha.
