Woman Admits to Heavy Drinking Before Crashing into Multiple Vehicles in Pattaya
PATTAYA, Thailand – A late-night accident involving a heavily intoxicated driver led to multiple vehicle collisions in East Pattaya.
At around midnight on March 15, an investigator from Nongprue Police Station received a report about a car crashing into several parked vehicles near the Phuyai Kui Market intersection on Soi Nern Plabwan. Police officers and rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Pattaya Foundation quickly responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a blue Jeep overturned on its side. The driver, identified as 56-year-old Ms. Kaikaew Kroblee, appeared to be heavily intoxicated. The crash also caused damage to three motorcycles parked by the roadside and severely crushed a black Toyota Vigo pickup truck with license plate KR 6080 Chonburi.
Ms. Kaikaew, still under the influence, admitted to having consumed a significant amount of alcohol at a friend’s house. She explained that she lost control of her vehicle on the way home, leading to the accident. Local residents corroborated her account, stating that the car had skidded out of control before colliding with the parked vehicles.
Police documented the scene and escorted Ms. Kaikaew for further questioning. A breathalyzer test was conducted to determine her blood alcohol level, and she will face legal proceedings accordingly.
