A misplaced wallet containing roughly $400 in cash was handed back to an American visitor on Wednesday by a motorcycle taxi driver in Thailand’s tourist hotspot Pattaya.
After finding the black wallet on the ground in an alley, the female driver delivered it to the authorities, according to Pattaya News.
She claimed that she had earlier in the evening driven the foreign traveler to his hotel in South Pattaya and that she was confident that it belonged to him after seeing his picture in the wallet.
The tourist said he had no money when he was dropped off, but she voluntarily let him leave without paying, she also informed the police.
Police got in touch with the American guy to reclaim the wallet after determining that it belonged to him.
Up until the 1970s, Pattaya was a peaceful beach town, but during the Vietnam War, U.S. military personnel began to flock there for recreation.
