Thai Woman Dies in Car Crash After Being Abandoned by Van Driver

Surat Thani, March 25, 2025 – A 33-year-old Thai woman tragically lost her life in a car accident after a van driver left her behind mid-trip for allegedly disturbing other passengers.

Incident Unfolds on Highway 41

The fatal accident occurred at 3:20 AM in Ban Na San district, Surat Thani, where police and rescue workers arrived to find the woman dead on the road. She was wearing an orange T-shirt and shorts, but no shoes, and had suffered multiple broken bones from the crash.

Abandoned Mid-Journey

Investigations revealed that the woman had been traveling from Hat Yai in a passenger van. During a rest stop in Thung Song district, she reportedly consumed alcohol and became disruptive, leading the driver to drop her off at a resort near the accident scene around 3:00 AM.

Mysterious Circumstances Surround Her Death

CCTV footage from the resort showed her running away from her room shortly before the accident. However, the moment of impact was not captured on camera. Resort staff confirmed she was alone before she left the room.

Speculation Over Foul Play

While the police continue their investigation, netizens and colleagues of the woman have expressed doubts over reports that she was intoxicated and causing disturbances. Some suspect foul play, claiming she had never exhibited such behavior when drinking before.

Authorities are now working to determine why she fled the resort and the circumstances that led to her tragic death.
