In the tourist province of Denizli, Turkey, on Thursday, a tour bus carrying 26 Thai visitors collided with a roadside signboard, injuring 26 of them, four of them critically, according to Thai media, which cited the Thai embassy in Ankara.
The incident happened as 26 Thai tourists were being given a tour of Denizli by the Dorak tour bus. Twenty-two of the visitors had minor injuries, and four tourists had significant injuries.
The visitors were treated after being admitted to hospitals in Cardak, Denizli, and Pamukkale. The Thai embassy was getting in touch with the hospitals to inquire on the patients’ status and to let their families know.
The cause of the mishap remained a mystery.
