Thai criminals arrested in Pattaya for stealing from Chinese renters

Two Thai males were detained by Chon Buri Provincial Police officers on Wednesday for looting a rental home in Pattaya that was rented by three Chinese nationals; the other three suspects are still at large. A Thai woman who performed at parties was charged with financing the group.

Theft at a beachside rental home in Pattaya Muang Mai Village was reported to the Mueang Pattaya Police Station at 5.30 a.m. on May 3. Officers arrived on the site right away and found that the three Chinese victims had been attacked and had minor injuries in addition to the house being completely destroyed.Wang Zhijun, a 35-year-old Chinese man, Gu Junjie, a 37-year-old Chinese male, and Lin Xuerui, a 37-year-old Chinese lady, were the victims.

The three Chinese victims told the police that they had hired a Thai woman party entertainer to look after them at a recent party. They had been renting a home in Pattaya for two months. They believed the woman had helped a band of criminals rob them. The victims claim that three to four robbers stormed into the home and threatened them with a gun before forcing them to hand up 207,400 baht to the gang. Along with the money, the burglars also stole four cellphones, a tablet, three watches, and a gold ring, causing around 1 million baht in damages.

The thieves uninstalled all surveillance cameras after removing the stolen goods and drove away in the victims’ Honda City vehicle. The gang had left the car in a nearby woodland, but the police were able to trace it thanks to the GPS device. They continued their getaway on a black Mitsubishi Triton pickup vehicle, according to surveillance footage.

The pickup was later abandoned at the home of one of the suspects, Chaichana “Beam” Pimpa, a 28-year-old male. In a bronze Honda Civic vehicle, they then took off for Rayong province. Three individuals are still at large, while two have subsequently been captured by the authorities.

Beam was apprehended while attempting to flee to Rayong, which resulted in Thawatchai “Bank” Siyangnok, 27, being apprehended at his Pattaya home.

The other three robbers were identified as Wanchana “Em” Kreedkrai, 26, Sarawut “Beer” Suthapot, 24, and Nakarin “New” Saetiaw. Additionally, the alleged female party entertainer will be called in for questioning.
