Teen and Foreign National Seriously Injured in Pattaya Motorcycle Crash
PATTAYA, Thailand – A motorcycle collision in Soi Khao Noi (Boon Samphan), in front of Chokchai Village 7, left a teenage boy and an Indian national with severe injuries on March 30.
Scene of the Crash
Authorities arrived to find a black Chopper motorcycle overturned and damaged. The rider, an Indian national estimated to be between 50-60 years old, sustained serious head injuries and appeared to be in a dazed state.
Nearby, a pink Honda Scoopy-i motorcycle was also found lying on its side in the middle of the road. The 14-year-old rider suffered a severe head injury and lost his right ring finger in the crash. Emergency responders placed the severed finger in ice before rushing both victims to the hospital for urgent medical care.
Eyewitness Accounts
A friend of the injured teenager stated that they were riding out of Soi Khao Noi when the foreign motorcyclist suddenly cut in front of them, leading to the collision.
Another witness, 33-year-old Wilawan, who was selling goods nearby, corroborated this account. She reported seeing the foreign rider make a sudden turn into the village, directly causing the crash.
Investigation Underway
Police have documented the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the precise cause of the accident. Further investigations will establish responsibility for the collision.
