Today in Bangkok, hundreds of people rushed from Siam Paragon after hearing gunshots inside the shopping center on Rama I Road.
The incident, which happened at around 4.20 p.m., reportedly harmed a female mall security guard. Her condition wasn’t recognized right away.
More than 10 gunshots, according to those who fled, were heard.
A special operations police unit was present.
The shooter was reportedly present inside the mall, according to Metropolitan Police Division 6 Chief Pol Maj Gen Nakharin Sukhonthawit.
In videos and still images posted on social media, a man carrying a gun was visible. He was wearing a black shirt and camouflage pants.
Srettha Thavisin, the prime minister, said he had been informed of a “shooting” and was keeping an eye on the situation.
According to local accounts, the mall’s entrances and exits were sealed up. As a result of the BTS Skyway’s closure, the Skytrain no longer stops at the Siam BTS station.

At around 5pm, a woman was confirmed to be wounded and soon after the gunman was arrested by the Thai police, according to Bangkok-based news site Khaosod English
