Seastead is now under guard as Navy prepares for potential lawsuit

So, after the many many stories on the now famous seastead, here is yet another one to add to the list.

In Phuket, the seastead removal operation that happened on Monday was a success, according to the Royal Thai Navy.

The structure is now under guard at the Port of Thailand.

The Royal Thai Navy have now stated that they are confident in the evidence that they have obtained for any litigation that may follow the structure’s removal from its location in international waters some 22 kilometres off the coast of Phuket.

About 300 Navy officers on board 300 Navy Ships that were led by the Third Naval Area Command, went ahead with their operation on Monday morning dismantle the seastead off the coast of Phuket and bring it ashore.

After the seastead had been separated from its pylon and floating pontoon, the structure was then taken to the Phuket Deep Sea Port in Cape Panwa. The structure arrived in the port about 10 pm late in the night and will be kept as evidence for legal cases.

The Navy has issued a statement that says that they were not afraid of being sued over their actions.

The Ocean Builders Company has already planned for legal action against them and are ready.

The structure was meant to be the first of many similar offshore colonies proposed by its owners
