Residents of Pattaya perform merit-making at Sutthawat Temple to commemorate Songkran.

The congregation listens to Abbot Phra Khru Tanwaro as he preaches on Buddhist proverbs that deal with rebirth and life.

Monks at Wat Sutthawat Temple welcomed Songkran while the Buddhist congregation offered merit.

More than 20 monks were lead in reciting Buddhist religious mantras by Abbot Phra Khru Tanwaro. In addition, a sermon on Buddhist proverbs dealing with rebirth and life was heard by the audience.

Following the conclusion of his talk, Phra Khru Tanwaro permitted followers to give requiem ropes to the monks who were honoring their lost loved ones. In addition, it was done in order to gain virtue and increase prosperity for themselves and their families during the Thai New Year.
