A ten-foot long python is caught after slithering into a bird cage and killing three roosters.
The snake was found next to two dead birds inside the enclosure on August 29 at 8.30am in Chachoengsao.
Shocked homeowner Ubonrat Patthong, 57, raised the alarm and the snake regurgitated a third rooster it had eaten for breakfast.
Rescuers arrived and lassoed the python which wriggled furiously to free itself but was stuffed inside a bag.
Ubonrat said: ”I was just walking in to collect the duck eggs and saw the snake. It spat out on the birds but it was already dead.
”I rushed to call the emergency service immediately. I think the snake came in from the nearby forest.”
The Chachoengsao Rescue Foundation said the snake measured three metres long and was likely taking refuge inside the wooden hut after heavy rains in a nearby forest.
It was released back into the wild several miles away from the property.
