The Thai people are enthusiastically organizing family holidays and travels as National Mother’s Day, which falls on August 12, approaches next week. The top domestic locations for the forthcoming holiday, according to the most recent research from “Agoda,” are Pattaya, Hua Hin/Cha-am, Bangkok, Khao Yai, and Kanchanaburi.
Pattaya is ranked first among the top 10 most popular domestic destinations. Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, the Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), recently announced the trailblazing program “Moving Forward for the Better” at the Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok in an ambitious effort towards a brighter future for Thai tourism.
The project sought to take Thai tourism to new heights of value and sustainability, with a recovery of 3 trillion baht in revenue, which is equal to the years before to the epidemic.With an eye on 2023, the TAT is steadfastly committed to accelerating resilience and transformation towards high-value and sustainable tourism, with a special emphasis on quality visitors and equitable income sharing to local communities.
In order to increase value and sustainability in the sector, the TAT is also giving special attention to “Tourism Security,” improving digital literacy, and harnessing innovation and technology.
