Pattaya Teen Attacked After Dispute Over Loud Motorcycle Noise
PATTAYA, Thailand – A 15-year-old boy was assaulted in East Pattaya’s Soi Wat Boon Sampan (Khao Noi) on the night of March 14, following a confrontation over loud motorcycle exhaust noise.
The altercation began when a group of youths, including the victim, known by the alias “Jeng,” were riding motorcycles with loud exhausts. Another group confronted them, shouting complaints about the noise. The verbal dispute quickly escalated, with both sides exchanging insults.
As Jeng and his friends headed home, they were ambushed by three individuals on motorcycles. The attackers chased them down and struck Jeng in the head with a knife, leaving him seriously injured.
Rescue teams arrived promptly, providing first aid before transporting the victim to the hospital. Authorities are currently investigating the incident and have urged the injured party to file an official complaint at Nongprue Police Station to initiate legal proceedings against the perpetrators.
