In order to put flood prevention measures in place ahead of the impending rainy season, which starts this week, the Pattaya City sanitation department conducted an inspection of the drainage system in Soi 8 of Pattaya Central Road on May 22.
The drains beside the road were significantly clogged by tree roots, the inspectors found during their assessment. Residents have expressed concerns about the smelly, unclean water seeping into their homes as a result of the inefficient sewage system spilling over onto the street. The sanitation crew used water trucks and dredging pipes to clear out all the roots from the sewers, which solved the issue. Members of the council noted how this program fits in with Pattaya’s pre-rainy season rules. Responsible authorities have been given the task of carrying out the organized dredging activities in different Pattaya City neighborhoods. The drainage systems can handle water flow properly, lowering the risk of flooding and promoting quicker rainwater drainage by proactively resolving these problems.
The locals expressed their appreciation for the city of Pattaya’s quick response and help in resolving the issue, as well as to the sanitation specialists and other parties involved.
