THE Ohio gunman described himself as a pro-Satan ‘leftist’ who hated President Trump.
Connor Betts, 24, was shot dead by cops on Sunday after he had gone on the rampage in Dayton, killing nine people including his sister Megan.
In one message he posted on Twitter under the name “iamthespookster” Betts wrote: “I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.”
The account, which has now been removed by the social media site, shows a picture of a left-wing anarchist and malcontent, according to Heavy.com.
The website said it had managed to verify the account belonged to the gunman “through multiple verification factors, including a matching tattoo on both a page selfie-and prominent news outlets’ pictures of Connor Betts several family linkages to the page; similar photos, including of him and the family dog, on the page and family members’ verified accounts; and references to college and growing up in Ohio and Dayton.”
When he posted a selfie he added the hashtags: “#selfie4satan #HailSatan @SatanTweeting.”
The messages are in contrast to the anti-immigration manifesto posted by the El Paso gunman Patrick Crusius, 21, who slaughtered at least 20 people with an AK47-style rifle on Saturday.
Betts wrote on his Twitter account on November 2: “Vote blue for gods sake”.
He also backed gun control and pointed the finger of blame towards Republicans for school shootings.
Betts wrote in December: “This is America: Guns on every corner, guns in every house, no freedom but that to kill.”
On the day of the Parkland school shooting in Florida he sent a message to Senator Rob Portman via the site: “hey rob. How much did they pay you to look the other way? 17 kids are dead. If not now, when?”
While referring to the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, he wrote: “you can’t kill 50+ people and injure 600(!) In 10 minutes with cigarettes my dude.”
On his page he had pinned a tweet to the top of his page from someone else saying: “Millennials have a message for the Joe Biden generation: hurry up and die.”
In another message he said that he would “happily vote for” the Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Warren has made a name for herself as a progressive Democrat, often concerning herself with welfare and consumer protection.
In February this year she announced her candidacy for the 2020 US presidential election.
In another message he told his followers: “Kill every fascist”.
Betts was shot dead by cops just 30 seconds after his rampage began.
