Multi vehicle collision leaves Pattaya driver injured

Another crash and this time it was last night when a pick-up driver had crashed into a trailer truck. 

The accident happened last night May 4th at around 9:30 pm on the Yuttasart 331 Road in Khao Maikaew that had left the driver of the pick-up truck with several injuries.

Rescue workers were quick to the scene where the damaged pick-up truck was at the side of the road.

Mr Uthai Ampan, 47 who was driving the pick-up truck had only minor injuries and was coherent and able to move around. He was later taken to a local hospital for a medical evaluation of his injures.

Mr Sutthisak Ponnikorn that had been driving the trailer truck and who was actually uninjured himself had told Pattaya police that the pick-up had been driving at high speeds right before the accident happened.

Apparently the pick-up driver had lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the central reservation and then crashed into the trailer truck before ending up in the grass in the middle of the highway.

The Pattaya police will continue their investigations into the crash and will also be looking at CCTV to help determine which driver was at fault.
