The injured were subsequently taken to the local rescue squads. A severely damaged motorcycle and a racing pickup truck that had crashed with the rear of a lorry were located close to the scene of the collision.
Three people were discovered trapped in the pickup truck in critical condition, while a biker who had passed out was discovered 100 meters from the scene of the collision. Then, in a hurry, the rescue crews broke into the pickup vehicle to quickly transport the injured to a nearby hospital.
Regretfully, because of their grave circumstances upon transport to the hospital, three of the four injured individuals were declared dead. The only names that were made public for the fatalities were Mr. Theeraphong, 37, Mr. Suthilak, 50, and Mrs. Malinee, a 61-year-old motorcycle rider. One further injured individual remained unnamed.
The 32-year-old truck driver, Mr. Watcharapong, is claimed to have told the rescue crew that he parked his truck by the side of the road as two racing pickup trucks were driving past him until one of the trucks lost control of his vehicle. The motorcycle and a racing pickup truck then crashed, with the pickup sliding to the back of the lorry.
Since then, the supposed racing pickup truck has vanished from sight.
The Sadao police officers first examined the scene of the incident in order to gather evidence, and they promised to conduct a thorough investigation in order to move on with legal proceedings.
