On the morning of Wednesday, February 7th, 2024, a devastating incident occurred on Highway 331 near Pattaya, Chonburi, involving a 35 to 40-year-old unidentified Thai male motorcyclist who was tragically run over by an 18-wheel trailer truck.
The accident took place at approximately 8:06 AM on the inbound lanes in Khao Mai Kaeow to Sattahip. The victim, who was attired as a factory worker, sustained fatal injuries after being run over by the truck’s trailer.
The truck driver, Mr. Mongkol Datthumma, aged 38, mentioned that he was transitioning from the middle to the right lane when he observed the motorcycle rider driving alongside him swerving. However, he was uncertain about the precise details of the collision and only became aware of the incident after checking his side mirror. Upon realizing the situation, he promptly stopped his truck to assess the circumstance. The victim’s Honda X-ADV 750cc motorcycle was discovered lodged beneath the trailer by Mongkol.
Law enforcement officials thoroughly documented the scene and are presently examining CCTV footage to reconstruct the series of events. Regrettably, no identification was found on the deceased individual.
