The owner of a traditional massage shop in Ratchaburi was found dead with her throat slit on Tuesday night, police said.
The body was found by her daughter, who went to the rented house where the woman lived and work in Ratchaburi’s Suan Phueng district after failing to contact the woman since Monday.
The victim was identified as Phetbon Yuyen, 48, who was found with a slit throat and multiple stab wounds.
Her 16-year-old daughter told police that Phetbon lived with her new husband, Naruebet Wongsupha, 50, who had disappeared.
The daughter said she called her mother on Monday but there was no answer. The girl went to the rented house with relatives at 10.30pm on Tuesday and found that it was locked. They broke in and found the body in the bedroom.
Neighbours told police that they heard Phetbon quarrel with her husband late on Sunday night. They said the massage shop was closed on Monday.
