Korean Gamblers Arrested in Pattaya

Ten Korean gamblers were arrested at a gambling den located in a coffee shop in Banglamung

Pattaya Police Chief Colonel Nawin Teerawit informed the Pattaya News that at 9:36 P.M., they conducted a raid on the gambling den inside a coffee shop in Nongprue. The authorities found foreign gamblers playing poker. Among those arrested were nine Korean gamblers, a Korean gambling leader, and the Thai owner of the establishment. The police seized a poker table, poker cards, chips, and 160,000 Baht in cash during the raid.

The operation was initiated after a concerned citizen reported the presence of a gambling den within the coffee shop. All the Korean gamblers had legally entered Thailand and possessed valid visas. The police did not disclose further details about the Koreans. The Thai man arrested was identified as Mr. Puerk Prasompan, 46. He, along with the Korean men, was taken to the Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings.
