Korean boy hospitalised in serious condition after nearly drowning

A Korean boy was in a critical condition after he was saved from drowning in a Pattaya hotel swimming pool.

The boy, Yoon Seongmin, 12, was rushed to a hospital at 11.30pm by rescuers from a local foundation after security officers pulled him out of the pool of the Four Seasons Place Hotel.

A hotel staff told police that they had noticed the boy floating face-down in the swimming pool. Initially, they did not realise that he was unconscious because his mother was sitting beside the swimming pool. The staff later noticed that the boy was lying still so he alerted security officials of the hotel to pull him out of the pool.
