Koh Larn sees record tourist arrivals for New Year

Koh Larn witnessed an astonishing surge in New Year revelers, welcoming an impressive 40,022 tourists during the two-day extravaganza from December 29 to 30. The pinnacle of the celebration, December 30, saw 24,513 visitors immersing themselves in the festive ambiance and luxuriating in the sunny weather.

In a well-coordinated effort, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Pattaya City Administration, alongside law enforcement and municipal officials, flawlessly orchestrated the island’s operations. Their meticulous planning ensured the smooth functioning of facilities and services, prioritizing the safety and convenience of visitors. This included seamless coordination of transportation and accommodation for tourists arriving from various parts of Thailand and beyond.

Tourist feedback underscored the island’s irresistible charm, pristine cleanliness, and warm hospitality. Many expressed gratitude for the dedicated efforts of authorities and the local community in ensuring a delightful and memorable stay.

The celebrations extended until January 1, 2024, with Koh Larn’s popularity reaching new heights. A larger influx of visitors gathered for the New Year countdown and an impressive fireworks display. Authorities estimate a staggering total of 60,000 visitors during the extended four-day holiday period (Dec 29 – Jan 1), setting a remarkable new record for the island’s tourism.
