Pattaya city officials have revealed an extensive enhancement project aimed at rejuvenating the renowned Jomtien Beach, with the objective of improving its overall appearance and functionality.
The far-reaching plan encompasses various vital elements. Firstly, the deployment of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipes beneath the road surface will be carried out to enhance the area’s infrastructure. Additionally, existing structures will be relocated, and public utilities will be upgraded to heighten convenience for beach visitors. Notably, a new drainage system is set to be constructed at the boat ramp area to address flooding concerns.
In addition, city officials have laid out a detailed schedule for meetings and on-site inspections to closely monitor the project’s advancement. One of the primary focal points of these deliberations is the implementation of a one-way traffic management plan designed to mitigate disruptions during the construction phase.
Set to kick off on March 1, the project will span from the Jomtien Sub Police Station Branch to the Chaiyapruek Service Center at the Jomtien Beach intersection, covering a stretch of 200 meters.
