A 23-year-old lady was killed after being brutally assaulted by her jealous lover. According to initial reports, the scenario began as a simple talk about splitting up, but quickly escalated into a heated disagreement and, sadly, a physical altercation.
Around 10 p.m. yesterday, Chon Buri City Police Station received a report of a serious assault on a young woman inside a rental room at 300/52, Group 1, Khlong Tamru, Mueang, Chon Buri. The Tri Khun Tham Chonburi charity foundation and emergency services were quickly summoned to the area.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered the woman, named as Pailin Thongpradit, unconscious, with feeble vital signs and a damaged face. The emergency medical team provided immediate treatment before arranging for her transfer to Chon Buri Hospital. Pailin remained in a coma despite their attempts, including continuous cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and died at Wiparam Amata Nakorn Hospital at 10.45 p.m.
Sathian Ap-Srirom, a 28-year-old male, admitted to his wrongdoings. He revealed that they had a heated dispute after he discovered Pailin surreptitiously seeing another man. Initially, they were contemplating separation, but the situation escalated, resulting in him punching her once with force, forcing Pailin to smack her head against something as she fell.
Sathian then kicked her upper torso to continue the assault. Pailin stood up to get water once the acute pain eased, but fell unconscious.
Sathian was arrested and taken to the Chon Buri City Police Station for additional interrogation and possible legal action.
