Local residents in Pattaya have called for police to look into a video that went viral, showing a foreign couple engaging in sexual activity in public near the entrance of the Terminal 21 shopping mall.
Posted by Facebook user Denis Krungtep with the caption, “Pattaya again?” the 25-second video was captured from across the mall, showing the couple on the steps. The incident appears to have taken place late at night when the mall was closed, as indicated by the dark entrance and sign, with no passing vehicles.
In the video, the voice of a Thai man can be heard expressing shock while the couple is seen in the act. Reports from Channel 7 indicate that locals, mall staff, and motorcycle taxi drivers at the scene were unaware of the incident until the video circulated.
While the exact timing remains unknown, Channel 7 mentioned that community members found the behavior disrespectful and called for authorities to investigate promptly.
This incident in Pattaya follows a similar one in Phuket last month, where a Thai observer shared a video of another foreign couple engaging in inappropriate behavior on social media. It seems instances like these have occurred in the area before, with reports of a different foreign couple being witnessed engaging in explicit acts inside a hotel room with an open window, visible to passersby.
