Drunk Driver Crashes into Construction

A heavily intoxicated driver crashed his car into an underground power line construction pit in Pattaya but miraculously escaped without injury.

Pattaya police were alerted to the crash on Chaloem Phra Kiat Road 3, in the Nongprue sub-district of Banglamung, Chonburi province. Emergency responders and reporters from The Pattaya News quickly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, they discovered a black Toyota Yaris that had veered out of control and plunged into a pit at the construction site. The vehicle sustained damage, while the driver, a 34-year-old man identified only as Mr. Boy, was found in a heavily intoxicated state and barely coherent. Despite the severity of the crash, Mr. Boy was uninjured, though the power line conduit at the site suffered minor damage.

Rescue workers successfully extracted the car from the pit. Mr. Boy was subsequently taken to a local police station, where he may face legal charges.
