Drugs, guns found in Bangkok car abandoned in Sa Kaew

Sa Kaew police will summon a Bangkok man for questioning after his car was found abandoned with drugs in the eastern province on Friday morning.

The black Nissan Almera car with a licence plate registered in Rayong was found abandoned on Soi Ban Khao Kha in Tambon Sa Kwan in Sa Kaew’s Muang district at 6am and local residents alerted police.

A police search found a shotgun, a homemade pistol and ammunition, as well as 1,600 methamphetamine pills and 8 grams of crystal meth. The car was hauled to the Muang Sa Kaew police station for further investigation.

Police searched the vehicle registration database of the Land Transport Department and found that it belongs to Natthapol Boonsajai, 42, a resident of Bangkok’s Vadhana district. The licence plate has been suspended as the owner has not paid annual registration tax for three years. nation
