police in Mae Chaem district of Chiang Mai executed an arrest warrant on Mr. Prasit Sak, alias Hia Kao, 41, in connection with drug trafficking charges from related arrests in 2020.
Officers seized Mr. Sak’s property as follows: 60 rai of land, value 12 million baht; single story home, 1 million baht; 7 pick up trucks, 4.3 million baht; 1 Kubota tractor, 700,000 baht; cash 3.94 million baht; and lumber valued at 1 million baht.
The arrest of Mr. Sak stems from a related drug bust in Nakhon Sawan province on July 10th, 2020. At that time, one Mr. Aphinan was detained and gave information about Mr. Sak. Mr. Aphinan received a call from Mr. Sak who talked about drug trafficking. Officers instructed Mr. Aphinan to act normal on the call.
The court used the information from this call to put together their arrest warrant. Anothe rmember of the drug network was arrested in Chiang Rai, Mr. Weerachai Yingkhunban.
Officers expanded the investigation and applied conspiracy charges. The offenses included unlawful sale of methamphetamine and ketamine.
No matter how much you think you can trust somebody, when somebody’s looking at hard time, they’ll give up their mother to reduce the sentence. Let alone an associate.
