On November 11, a moped crashed into a Norwegian guy who was seriously injured. The incident happened on Jomtien Beach Road, close to the Soi 8 entrance.
Witnesses said how Hansen Riisbjerg, a 44-year-old Dane, was on a black Yamaha moped when it struck Arne Helge Garvik, 58, while he was strolling along the side of the road. Garvik suffered serious head injuries and body abrasions when the impact sent him flying into a parked car’s windshield.
The Danish rider, Riisbjerg, stayed at the scene and assisted the authorities with their inquiry. Garvik was taken to the Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital so he could receive more care. At this time, inquiries into the accident’s circumstances are being conducted.
