There are 7 new Covid-19 cases in Thailand, all cases were confirmed positive while in a state quarantine center.
Out of the number of new cases includes an American woman. It comes as good news that new cases in Thailand were confirmed while in a quarantine center thanks to the strong quarantine regulations on all persons entering Thailand in the current times.
Doctor Parnprapa Yongtrakul the spokesperson assistant from the Centre for Covid-19 Administration reported the current Covid-19 citation in Thailand on 5 August 2020 at the Ministry of Public Health. There are 7 new cases, all returning to Thailand from abroad.
Thailand Covid-19 numbers now stand at 3,328 cases, 391 cases were confirmed positive while in state quarantine. 3,144 cases have made a full recovery, there have been 58 deaths so far and 126 still under medical care.
The first new case of COVID is a Thai woman 34-year-old returning from the United Arab Emirates. The woman worked as a masseuse in the UAE and arrived in Thailand on 29 July 2020.
There have been 2 confirmed COVID cases on the same flight the woman was on to return back home. She was confirmed positive on 2 August 2020 and showed no symptoms of the virus.
The next 5 cases are Thais returning from Egypt, a woman aged 21-year-old and men aged 22, 23, 26, and 30-year-old.
All the new cases from Egypt are university students. They were all confirmed positive for Covid-19 after receiving their first tests on 3 August 2020, none showed symptoms indicating that they were carrying the virus. The last new case is a woman from the USA.
She works as a teacher in Thailand, thus why she flew into Thailand during the current world situation. The 26-year-old teacher arrived in Thailand on 31 July 2020 and was confirmed positive after receiving her first COVID test in Thailand on 3 August 2020.
