AMAZING CCTV footage shows the moment a luxury BMW stolen from Tom Cruise’s bodyguard is dumped behind a fried chicken shop.
A female driver can also be seen with a green shopping bag — thought to hold some of the US movie star’s belongings.
The £100,000 X7 motor was stolen from outside a Birmingham hotel in the early hours of Tuesday by crooks using a scanner to clone the signal from the car’s keyless ignition fob.
Video footage shows it being dumped behind a row of takeaways less than three miles away in Smethwick at 9.13am.
CCTV images show the black estate car being driven into the open air car park and left a short distance from other cars.
The passenger seat window is then closed, before a man in a hoodie and blue jeans gets out of the passenger side.
Another man, in blue jeans, cap and coat, comes into shot from the car park entrance and chats to the passenger
The driver, a woman wearing a face mask, jeans and a coat can then be seen before the trio stare at the BMW and walk off.
Locals say cops recovering CCTV footage from the area.
One store worker said: “It was Tom Cruise’s driver’s car.
“It’s incredible. How did it end up here? I believe his bodyguard came down here and started to speak about it. He was asking questions.
“People were shocked when Cruise’s bodyguard turned up asking what was happening.
“They must have found out it was here. It’s Tom Cruise — it doesn’t get much bigger.”
We told yesterday how Cruise, in Britain filming scenes for his Mission: Impossible 7 film, was “hopping mad” when he learned of the high-tech theft.
The actor, 59, has been seen in various locations with co-star Hayley Atwell, 39,
A West Midlands Police spokeswoman said: “CCTV enquiries have been made in the area the car was recovered from. Inquiries are ongoing.”
