In 1984, Mr. Chaiphun began working for Centara Hotels & Resorts at the Hyatt Central Plaza Hotel or Centara Grand at Central Plaza Ladprao in Bangkok. In 1992, he was named general manager of Central Wong Amat Pattaya, the previous resort situated on the site of the present-day Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya. After that, he moved on to assume the position of General Manager at Central Sukhontha Hat Yai, now known as Centara Hotel Hat Yai.
He has held general manager positions at a number of establishments since 1998, including Central Hotel Myanmar, Centara Villas Samui, Centara Hotel Hat Yai, Corporate Office, Centara Hotel & Convention Centre Udon Thani, and Centra by Centara Maris Resort Jomtien.
