16-year-old British boy found dead in a Thai woodland with head wounds: Police search for a missing adolescent girl

A British youngster riding a motorcycle with a girl was found dead.

According to Thai authorities, Ben might have been a victim of a phone robbery.

Police in Thailand are looking for the missing girlfriend of a British adolescent who was discovered dead in a forest with head injuries.

In his hometown of Lampang, Woramet Ben Taota, 16, and Yam, also 16, went on a motorcycle ride on Saturday. They never came back.

Ben was discovered dead in a grove in the Ban Than area on Sunday morning, with injuries that appeared to have been caused by blunt force, according to the local police. The teen’s phone and cash were reported stolen from his shoulder bag, and police speculated that he may have been robbed.

There were no indications of a fight, leading them to suspect he was slain somewhere and dumped in the forest. As of right now, his partner has not been located. According to Thai media, a waste collector who was at work on Sunday morning discovered Ben’s body.

Police Superintendent of the Mae Tha Police Colonel Sittisak Singtongla stated: “The station received a notification at 10.15am that a deceased person was found in the undergrowth.”

Along with forensics officers, forensic medicine physicians, and members of Tanna Krua Forest Rescue, investigation teams from Mae Tha Police Station and Lampang Provincial Investigation Team also responded to the location.

The boy was discovered wearing a black long sleeve T-shirt, trousers, and his back against a tree, according to Thai media.

According to the police, the deceased was transferred to a hospital for an autopsy.

We are currently looking for the victim’s female companion and other close friends. Since she was the last person to see him alive, she is a crucial player in this case.

Ooy Taota, Ben’s mother, told police that her son had told her goodbye on Saturday night and that he was “going to work with friends,” but he had not provided any other information.

Friends posted memorials for Taota on Facebook after learning of his passing.

According to reports, the parents of the missing youngster ‘begged’ the media to assist in finding their daughter. The homicide was attributed to a potential love affair, a personal quarrel, or a business issue, according to the police, who stated that they are not excluding any motives.

“We have not yet resolved the issue,” police colonel Sittisak continued.

We still cannot rule out alternative possibilities because the deceased’s phone and cash were not recovered, making it unclear whether it was a robbery.
