Car explodes in highway collision

A collision on Sukhumvit Road near the Thai Oil gas station in Bang Phra Sub-District on March 7 resulted in a car engulfed in flames, leaving one woman injured.

The incident involved a red Honda Civic driven by 24-year-old Thawalrat Wichai and a white Honda City driven by 27-year-old Jiraporn Songprakam.

Thawalrat recounted the moments leading up to the collision, describing her attempt to avoid another vehicle, which led to the impact with a barrier and subsequent explosion.

Meanwhile, Jiraporn stayed at the scene of the accident and cooperated with authorities during the investigation.

After the flames were extinguished, police conducted a thorough investigation at the site. Both drivers were summoned to the Sri Racha Police Station for further questioning as authorities sought to determine the cause of the collision.
