Bogus name-brand products and contraband

In 7 locations from 3 provinces—Bangkok, Samut Prakan, and Samut Sakhon—Police Col. Virapong Homhuan and a police team performed thorough searches for fake items and smuggled commodities. As a result, knockoffs of well-known brands’ perfume, purses, and shoes were discovered.
Concerning the distribution of fake goods in Bangkok and the surrounding areas, The King Power International Group complained to the appropriate authorities. There were 17 Facebook sites with the name “KING POWER” that deceived users into buying illicit goods and bogus brand-name merchandise. The police team conducted an investigation, found storage facilities, and acquired information before seizing more than 35,000 units of disputed property with a value of more than 15 million baht.

The police officers declared that they would carry out a more thorough investigation and gather proof to prosecute those responsible.
