A blind woman whose three children reportedly refused to take care of her was found hanged at her house in Sa Kaew on Wednesday morning.
The body of Somboon Taoromrun, 52, was found at 8.30am hanging by a loincloth from a roof beam in the bathroom of her house in Ban Pho Thong, Wang Somboon district.
A doctor estimated she’d been dead for about seven hours.
Her sister, who lives next door, said on condition of anonymity that Somboon had gone blind several years ago as the result of an ailment.
She said Somboon had two sons and a daughter, but none of them wanted her staying with them because it would be too great a financial burden.
The sister said she built the house for Somboon and had taken care of her for two years, but Somboon often complained of missing her children and would have preferred to live with any of them.
The sister discovered the body when she took Somboon her breakfast.
