The LESALAN operation of the Australian Police contacted the Royal Thai Immigration Bureau, according to information provided to TPN media. Recently, a number of people who were reportedly connected to illegal narcotics and weapons managed to avoid punishment in Australia.
One of the suspects, who went by the name Mr. Robert, fled to Thailand. The appropriate law enforcement officials withheld his full name and age.
Mr. Robert was determined to have overstayed his educational visa in Phuket and was not actually enrolled in any classes or schools.
He concealed himself in Phuket and delegated all document processing and errand-running to his unnamed Australian girlfriend.
According to reports, he frequently changed his address to evade capture and maintained a very low profile, primarily living at home.
In Rawai, Mueang Phuket, on a mountain, officers eventually located him earlier this week, where he was detained while he was with his girlfriend.
He was brought to the Phuket Immigration Office, and his return to the Australian Police is scheduled.
As of the time of publication, it is unknown whether his girlfriend would also face charges for allegedly helping a criminal.
Robert did his utmost to hide from the law, but the Royal Thai Immigration Police did not say how they located him.
Regarding his plea to the alleged crimes, Robert did not address the media or issue a statement.
