It has been revealed that a German man who was annoying his Thai and foreign neighbors in Pattaya with a gun, firing the weapon late at night while allegedly drunk, is on a Thailand Elite visa.
However, people are still subject to the laws in Thailand – and Lars, 48, along with his 28-year-old Thai wife had not been compliant with Thai Law This is according to multiple complaints both made public and sent to the Pattaya News from his neighbours in Pattaya.
December 13th, 2019, immigration chief Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang was presiding over a press conference in Bangkok in which further details were given about the alleged out of control German.
The chief stood in front of a vinyl board that proclaimed: “Immigration helps the neighbors – Flushing out a foreigner who is a danger to society”.
Neighbors – both foreign and Thai – had complained that the “Elite” tourist was noisy, threatening, had sworn at them and had been shooting inside his property. They claimed he refused to calm down when asked and was rude to nearly everyone in the area, claiming police connections and having great influence in Thailand.
We can also confirm that the man had previously been arrested for trying to bring a concealed gun into a disco on Walking Street a few months ago. Immigration arrested Lars and his wife Sujitra at their house in November and charged them with illegal possession of guns and ammunition.
A 9 mm Glock automatic, magazines and ammunition and a BB gun were taken into evidence. There was also a quantity of other items used by serving police officers.
