Just two hours of heavy rain on Tuesday brought Pattaya to a stand-still with many roads completely flooded.
The Railway Road towards Sattahip was under HALF A METER of water and many larger vehicles were damaged by submerged roadworks with no warning notices.
One foreign visitor (pictured) could have drowned and had to be rescued after riding a motorbike into an uncovered drain.
Beach Road in Pattaya was usable although reports say the rainwater draining from the city was rancid and smelt toxic.
It all drained onto the beach and into the sea.
