A Thai guy was hurt in a hit-and-run accident in Central Pattaya next to a Big C department store, and the driver of the white vehicle who caused it is still on the loose. Thanachot Aranyapragorn shared his experience with the community media, lamenting the fact that the driver has eluded capture despite having been reported to Pattaya Police nine days earlier.
On May 20, about 3.40 am, the collision took place at a junction near the department store. When the traffic light turned green, freelancer Thanachot, age 26, was heading toward Sukhumvit Road on his motorcycle. A white sedan rushed down from Sukhumvit Road, made a right turn, and struck Thanachot as he approached the crossroads. As the sedan sped away, leaving him hurt and alone, the collision sent him flying over the car hood and onto the ground.
Thanachot informed the Thai media that the incident and the sedan were recorded by a nearby CCTV camera. He has given Pattaya Police the video and is now waiting for information on the inquiry. Thanachot is requesting reimbursement for the harm to his motorcycle as well as his medical costs in addition to asking the driver to be held accountable for fleeing the scene.
