Police have discovered a burnt-out white BMW and are conducting a forensic examination of the site where it was found.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a boxer who died from a shotgun wound in a pub in Doncaster.Tom Bell, 21, was shot through the window of Maple Tree pub in Balbon on Thursday and later died in hospital.A post-mortem examination established that he died from a shotgun wound to his chest and abdomen.A 29-year-old man has been arrested in South Cave, East Yorkshire, on suspicion of murder, while a 21-year-old woman is also being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.Detectives believe Mr Bell was targeted and that it was likely the people involved knew each other.
Doncaster Plantworks Amateur Boxing Club, where Mr Bell trained, wrote a tribute to him on Facebook.”This evening we are absolutely devastated to announce the passing of a great warrior who has spent a huge amount of time over the years boxing with our club,” it said.
“We are shocked beyond words to hear this sad news and would like to offer our sincere condolences to Tom’s family and closest friends.”
