Foreign businessmen claim Bt12m valuables, cash stolen

Three businessmen from the Republic of Marshall Island have filed a complaint with police that their rented house was broke into and their valuables and cash worth Bt12 million stolen.

The three filed a complaint with the Lat Phrao Police Station on Saturday morning, claiming the incident took place on Friday night.

They claimed their safe box was piled open and five gold necklaces worth Bt3 million, five more gold necklaces with jade pendants worth Bt300,000, 28 Rolex watches worth Bt4.2 million, a Buddha amulet with gold necklace worth Bt5 million, and US$4,000 (Bt120,000) in cash were stolen.

They were staying at a rented house in the Lat Phrao area of Bangkok’s Bang Kapi district. They said they left the house at 7.30pm on Friday for a business and returned to find their house had been broken into.

Police have yet to check fingerprints and footage from security cameras in the area to conduct an investigation.
