Drug suspect killed in gunfight with police in Phitsanulok

A drug suspect was killed in a shootout with police in Phitsanulok’s Prom Phiram district late on Tuesday night.
The slain suspect was identified as Kitti Paenkerd, 39, who was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the Sukhothai provincial court. Police said they detected Kitti’s car and caught up with him on a road in Moo 3 village in Tambon Prom Phiram of Prom Phiram district at 10pm. They claimed that Kitti opened fired at the pursuing team of police, who returned fire and killed the suspect. Kitti was shot in his waist, abdomen, and head. A .38 revolver was found near his body.
Police found 3,000 methamphetamine pills in his car. NP – EP
