Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with 10-Wheeled Truck on Highway 36, Chonburi
Chonburi, Thailand – A 63-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a 10-wheeled truck on Highway 36 in Chonburi on the evening of March 16, 2025.
The Sawang Boriboon Foundation received reports of the accident at approximately 7:30 PM near a U-turn in the Banglamung district. Emergency responders and local police were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities found a white Isuzu Rocky 10-wheel truck with damage to its rear, along with a blue and black Honda Wave 110i motorcycle. The rider, identified as Mr. Adul Wongyod, was discovered unconscious. Three female tourists who witnessed the incident were administering first aid and checking his pulse, but he showed no signs of life. They performed CPR for over 20 minutes but were unable to revive him.
The three women, later identified as nurses from Somdej Rajthevee Hospital in Sri Racha, were traveling to Rayong and happened upon the accident on their way back. They, along with the Sawang Boriboon rescue team, made every effort to resuscitate the victim, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Police have questioned the truck driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, and are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident. Further legal proceedings are expected as the investigation continues.
