Oasis is gearing up to release a documentary film alongside their upcoming Oasis Live ’25 Tour. The film will be produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, with renowned filmmakers Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace directing. The duo previously directed LCD Soundsystem’s concert film, Shut Up And Play The Hits.
Production will be handled by Magna Studios, known for projects like Beastie Boys Story, Gangs Of London, and 20000 Days On Earth. Sony Music Vision has secured the distribution rights.
The band’s UK and Ireland concerts will mark their only European performances in 2025, kicking off in Cardiff on July 4 and featuring special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast. They will also perform in the USA, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.
Meanwhile, frontman Liam Gallagher has continued to tease fans regarding the lineup for the Oasis Live ’25 Tour. He dismissed an NME report claiming that Andy Bell would return on bass, with Gem Archer, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs on guitar, and newcomer Joey Waronker on drums.
Liam, who has reconciled with his brother and guitarist Noel Gallagher for the band’s first shows in 16 years, invited NME to share their sources for the information. On X, he wrote, “NME, tell me who your source pots are that keep giving you info about Oasis, and I’ll give you an exclusive interview about the upcoming tour. You can have it all, but how much do you want it? LG x.”
He also humorously mentioned that he was not concerned about revealing the lineup, saying he would share that soon. Instead, he expressed concern over references to a “source close to the band.”
In a lighthearted moment, Liam jokingly suggested a lineup featuring past Oasis drummers on various instruments, claiming Alan White would play bass, Zak Starkey on lead guitar, and Chris Sharrock on keys, excluding Tony McCarroll, who was the band’s original drummer from 1991 to 1995.
This playful commentary comes just days after Liam entertained fans by suggesting that fictional characters like Peppa Pig would join him and Noel on their tour.
