The incident occurred around 12:10 a.m. on November 6, near Soi 13/4, when police were called to break up a physical altercation. Upon arrival, officers found two rival groups in a heated dispute, with both sides suffering minor injuries.
Kiranuwat, 42, a local beach chair vendor who witnessed and recorded the incident, explained that the conflict stemmed from territorial disputes over operating areas along the beach. “A new group of Uzbek women had encroached on the established group’s territory, which caused tensions,” he said. The situation escalated when male associates from one group arrived to mediate, but negotiations quickly broke down. During the police intervention, one foreign male suspect resisted arrest and had to be physically restrained and handcuffed.
At the Pattaya City Police Station, all parties involved chose not to press charges. Police documented the incident and released the individuals after recording their details.
Local residents have expressed ongoing concerns about unauthorized activities along Pattaya Beach Road, citing frequent incidents involving different groups operating in the area, despite regular patrols by tourist police.
This incident underscores the growing tensions over territorial disputes in the popular tourist destination, as local authorities continue their efforts to maintain order along the beach.
